Mini-entry: ministers turn to facebook

Today the bbc news website reported that the UK government's announcing a tie-up with facebook to receive feedback about spending cuts.

The ONS states that only 70% of homes had internet access in 2009, and 21% of people had never accessed the internet at all.

So what happens to them? Are they just left out of the consultation?

By chance, Die Zeit had an article today about a female rap artist who, as the daughter of a Tamil rebel writes songs which rail against the hegemony of google and facebook. She was brought up in London - I wonder what she would think of the UK government's plans?
